You should note that once fabrics are cut we cannot accept returns unless the goods are faulty. We would therefore urge you to obtain samples, to check colour ways and consult our knowledgeable and helpful staff prior to making a purchase if you are in any doubt as to the amounts required, suitability of your chosen fabric or treatment, pattern repeat or any other variable.
If you would like a larger sample piece we sell 1/2 metre pieces and will post via Royal Mail. Fabrics are not guaranteed against shrinkage or colour fading and are sold on a 'Dry Clean Only' basis.
As we sell clearance fabric, we may not be able to supply additional fabric of the type previously ordered. Please ensure that you have ordered sufficient material to complete the work.
Curtain Makeup Terms
Fabrics Mills cannot guarantee that there will not be shrinkage in the fabric subsequent to purchase and makeup. Always make allowances for possible shrinkage when making curtains and loose covers. Most fabrics tend to shrink when laundered, cleaned, or to a lesser extent whilst in use, in certain atmospheric conditions.
Atmospheric conditions may vary between our makeup workroom and your home, and in different weather and seasons. We cannot control these conditions and therefore cannot accept responsibility for movement in curtains when hung.
Heavier fabrics may react to changing humidity; and the control of humidity in a room remains the customer's responsibility. Shrinkage is considered normal for fabrics not claimed to be shrink-resistant. All fabric is sold on a 'Dry Clean Only Basis'.
All fabrics can be flame-retardant treated to the recommended British standard for their intended use as notified to us. Please advise if this is a special requirement.
Prices and Terms
All risks in the goods shall pass to the customer on delivery, but the goods shall remain the property of Fabric Mills until paid for in full by the customer.
Orders are accepted and promises for delivery given conditionally upon our being able to secure the necessary goods, and without responsibility for delays arising through uncertainties of manufacture, strikes, accidents or other causes beyond our control. No goods can be released to clients until payment has been received in full.
Prices are subject to change. All business is subject to our terms and conditions of business. All prices on the web site include VAT at the current rate applicable.
Customers receiving goods outside the EEC are responsible for any local taxes and/or duties incurred.
Goods must be inspected and checked before cutting. If the goods are received damaged, then they should be signed for as such and we must be advised in writing immediately.
No claims can be entertained or exchanges made once the material has been cut. No returns can be accepted or will be credited without prior agreement, therefore email us within seven days or telephone us. If the customer is not happy with the goods supplied for reasons other than faulty goods or damaged goods they cannot be returned which is why we encourage customers to ask for a sample of the goods before placing an order.
Customers are required to pay for the carriage of any goods being returned unless the goods were either faulty or the order was sent out in error, in which case we will refund the postage in full.
In the first instance any complaint should be made direct to our Customer Services Department and we will endeavour to resolve the issue fairly, confidentially and effectively within 28 days. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons:
Firstly, to process your order and, secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not pass your e-mail address to other trusted traders unless you agree. The type of information we will collect about you includes:

- Credit/debit card details

Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions
We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Terms and Conditions at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Conditions in force at the time that you use the website or that you order goods from us.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
